It’s with @WillisG as of May

I’d say this underselling it because it was fucking hard
It is a good climb though :D
Yeaah that was hard. Coldest I've been on a bike since riding the Fred Whitton route... in late October. For comparison, the Fred is ~3,700m over 180km and the route Dan completed was nearly 4,700m (acc. to Strava) in 196km. Where he found the appetite for Sir William Hill and the Dale after @jmg412 and I bailed is beyond me.
Shoutout to The Fryery in Whaley Bridge which (I think for all of us) saved the ride.

Bottom bracket shell on the Factor is oversized, to the point that even a Wheels Manufacturing threaded BB and Loctite retaining compound couldn’t solve the issue. Bit fed up with it so I’ve parked it for now. Will try again at some point and leave it to set for the recommended 24hrs before riding, instead of the 45 minutes it actually had.
Re-enter the CAAD10 which I was unable to sell, even for approaching a hundred quid. RIP rim brakes.
It has it’s own issues but critically, it doesn’t creak. Scored some cheap Quarq power meter cranks for BB30 (another standard nobody wants), chucked a 105 groupset at it and raced it to 10th place against the aero crowd in my first road race.

Campagnolo C-Record Sheriff Star single fixed rear hub/Novatec A171 QR front on Mavic Open Pro rims. Sapim Race spokes, 32 front, 36 rear. Both 3x.
Front wheel is basically new. Rear rim has been used previously but never braked on. Sheriff Star hub is slightly notchy in the hand but spins fine when on the bike. I have both 120 and 130mm axles (+spacers) to suit the above frame.
Can throw in a 18t Phil Wood cog and lockring.
£180
Which version? 4-bolt? 5-bolt? I’ve got a brand new set of R8000 50/34 going spare.
