There are limited numbers of bike spaces which you can book beforehand and can then take your bike asis - I did this last year, worth getting on this as soon as bookings open. Did this coming back from Brest last year and also had couple of other TCR riders that just blagged it with the conductor, and we just stacked them on top as they were bagged/boxed up, but YMMV.

One nice thing about the GP5000s is that they reseat just with my (high volume) hand pump. Tempted by the dynoplugs.

Not sure exactly, but the tube patches I bought en route didn't stick - should have tried some gorilla tape but didn't think of that

I found the 32mm GP5000s fine on the gravel last year, but slashed a sidewall in the Dolomites, wouldn't seal, forgot to pack TL patches and couldn't get the bead to seat with a tube in - ended up binning it in Annecy for a 28mm Gatorskin.

Checking the route, we go the wrong way up Station Road in Borough Green @ 110km and looks pretty tight from Streetview - should we be going up the High St instead (next R)?
