Not resampling just uses whatever elevation data is present in the GPX file. That track for the Dark & White Peak perm works for me, I make it 3896m of climbing for 4AAA. If this continues to fail for you, maybe drop me an email to my AAA address and can investigate further.
Of course, this raises the issue that many perms have been grandfathered in from before this tool was around (as @motoko has previously flagged to me) so the AAA values can vary, it is on my list to address but will require a complete review of all perms, some of which have no GPX track available. Another exciting winter project awaits.

Thanks, anyone who wants it at a later date can email me for the link. FWIW, I got a AAASR in the SE last season with The Shark (helpers ride), Dauntsey Dawdle (which only got AAA after I rode it and realised it should qualify), LLEL and a DIY 300. As posted upthread, Greenwich Mean Climb is running as one of the June centenary rides next year, maybe not as epic as Snow Roads but does finish at my house with food and beer. I'll also schedule in The Shark at some point, just hard to predict what state the country will be in around Easter and whether to risk a village hall booking.

It's become an open secret since the DIY SE organiser started putting it in every email response, so not a problem with people using it. There is a requirement to make it 'official' by hosting it within the audax.uk domain but still struggling to get it to run on their server, will try and pick that up over the winter. Also feel free to contact me directly at aaa (at) audax.uk if you have specific questions about any of the AAA stuff.

Julian is a very strong single-speed rider, having ridden the Shark every month last year I believe. Have managed to persuade him to join ACH so now have four finishers for LLEL I believe!
The ride was fairly firmly pitched at experienced randonneurs only so was surprised by the DNS/DNF rate as well - @motoko witnessed that when I found out I was 8th back just after him & Anne.
I had previously abandoned the Cornish Riveria Express due to the atrocious levels of traffic so was mentally prepared for that, but of course it's only got worse over the last two years and will probably continue to deteriorate until the sea level has risen enough to destroy Cornwall as a tourist destination.
Turns out I messed my calculations up, not compensating for my 30mm rear tyre, so rather than being on 77" then gearing down in Langport to 71", actually did it on 79"/74", which might explain the amount of walking I had to do but generally happy with my setup.
Having experienced the Blackdown hills before on the Brimstone 600 knew what to expect and opted to avoid them on the way back. Had originally planned to bivvy outside Taunton Deane services, but having seen the forecast and the thought of carrying an extra kg of gear didn't appeal so made a last minute £80 booking for Tiverton Parkway Travelodge which was worth every penny. This also meant my last day the shortest which I knew psychologically would help a lot, and could set off at the relatively civilised time of 6:30 to make the control closing time at Langport with ease.

The Shark is now back in the calendar for 11th April: https://audax.uk/event-details?eventId=8470, thanks to @mustardbeak for stepping up and being the Covid Safety Officer so it can have more than 30 entries.

This was my attempt last month on something similar, does make use of those cycle paths into Portsmouth: https://www.strava.com/activities/4086652917 - it's a really nice route down to Portsmouth
-
Here's my attempt from this evening: https://www.strava.com/activities/3276859219 (yes, I'm bored)- managed 1:08, 2 seconds slower than my PB from 5 years ago. This was on my Ti Burls with 48x16 on 32mm GP5000s so around 81", even bothered fixing up & fitting the lower spoke count wheels from TCR but that doesn't appear to have helped much!
-
Excellent idea and choice of Point Hill, I live off it and coincidentally rode down it today on 78" towing over 20kg of food donations for the local Covid Mutual Aid group, returning back up empty. Might have a proper go at it later, need to get the Ti Burls fixed out of the loft and gear up.
Note that if the A2 gets congested E-bound, typically during the afternoon peak, there is a fair bit of rat running up Point Hill by twats trying to jump the queue up Blackheath Hill so best avoided 3pm-6pm weekdays, but this hasn't been so prevalent since lockdown.

I thought I had published this but apparently not, will do this when I get home. For now you can make do by reading my dodgy code: https://github.com/aukgis/aaanalyser
