I've got a green Flite like that, and am having a massive ball ache trying to get some bar tape in the same shade of green. Green is proving to be a nightmare colour to gauge from online pics it seems. Deda and Fizik were no good, as was Lizard skins, the Brooks apple was too light too and £50 bar tape can>>>>>
There seems to be lots of flouro and Sagan/Cannondale green but a total lack of pea green. I went to Condor the other day to see some in person, and none of their greens were close either. I'm currently waiting for postie to deliver some cotton Velox tape, some Velox guidoline tape and some random cheap tape that looked the same shade. There's also this old Ciclolinea cotton tape on eBay that looks like it might match:https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vintage-NOS-Classic-80s-CICLOLINEA-Cotton-Bar-Tape-Green-for-Cinelli-Bars/261559478843?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649
.... but my wallet is baulking at £28 for cotton tape, especially when previous matchy attempts have been such a fail. Anyone else got any other alternatives?Would prefer it with drops, but that Fondriest is fantastic!

After these final two parts of the jigsaw to complete a shiny Merckx build, hoping someone can help.
Chorus Rear derailleur - Build will be carbon-free, so looking for the 10 speed all silver version, so no carbon face plates please. Is for shiny new best bike so excellent condition required.
Chorus chainset-the 172.5 length, 5 arm square taper Chorus version, and again all silver. 53/39 and rings must be in excellent condition.
Anyone have any going spare?
If within the M25 I am happy to arrange for convenient time when I can cycle over and collect, cash on collection. If outside M25 will need posting, and I happy to pay postage. £5 donation to forum for each item successfully sourced. Thanks.

@kboy haha, I can see why. I want it to have an extra curly tow bar for a tail now.

I went past it a few hours ago and the rear kerb side door was open, and there was no one around. Maybe the feds have checked it was not full of semtex, and upon realising its not, have left it open for the public to fill with wee and pooh as per above mentioned plans.
To be fair its not much of a surprise to see parking in the blue smurf road, been happening since forever.

@mdcc_tester yes I always assumed less weight was good in the lighter classes, and that's what threw me from seeing that Pathe report above when they said she was desperately trying to put on weight. A cake eating training plan I like the sound of :)
Even though it was obviously designed to stop Beryl racing, I'd still like to know the wording of this daft rule if possible.

Cross posted from the motorcycle thread:
Is anyone familiar with racing motor cycling regulations from ye olden days?
I've just been reading about trailblazing Beryl Swain, a Walthamstow resident who was the first woman to race solo at the Isle of Man TT in 1962. She suffered mechanical problems during the race, finishing 22nd out of 25 but was still within 3 secs of the lap record in the 50 cc class she was racing, and vowed to come back the following year to do better.
However her entry seems to have ruffled a few feathers and dented a few fragile male egos, as the governing body brought in a rule the following year which introduced a minimum rider weight, and as Beryl was a slight 7 stone it effectively meant she had no chance of making the start line, and despite trying to appeal and change the rule, she failed and it tragically effectively ended her racing career.
There was also some bullshit excuse that they were concerned that following the races' history with many injuries and fatalities to the male racers, they considered it too dangerous for women.
The last line of this Pathe news clip on Beryl sums up the attitude of the time, "slowly but surely women, the weaker sex, are muscling in on mans domain, practically no sport is sacred, thank goodness for dear old rugby league"
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ocIH8rBdJ8
It seems weird today that a minimum rider weight would be a barrier to entry, with ever more of us being Fatty Mcfatfat. And I can't for the life of me try to decipher how on the one hand they think racing is too dangerous for women, but only for women below a certain weight, are fat women considered not womanly enough, or does nobody care about the fat lasses?I've just been googling to try and find the exact wording of the rule, I'm curious to know what the actual weight limit was, but can't find exact info anywhere, does anyone know it or where to find it? Thanks.
EDIT: in your face Pathe News guy, women's rugby league is a thing now too. -

I've just been reading it was the first production car to use a digital instrument panel, and in true 70's-80's UK car manufacturing style the development cost for the electronics alone came to four times as much as the budget for the whole car.
The dashboard is like the bridge from the Enterprise in William Shatner era Star Trek, it can be seen in Doug Demuro's full geek out on it. Later models also had cathode ray tubes for the instrumentation, LOL. The inside looks comically dated but also amazing.
