There should be a label on the amp itself with an output resistance in Ohms. The existing speaker might also have a label on it elsewhere.

You won't die, the transformer and capacitors in the amp itself are dangerous, but the worst you can do is blow the speaker up.

I think that unless you can swing a big discount it's not going to be worth it.
The increases in GR are going to make it hard to sell in the future and the longer you hold on to it the bigger an issue it becomes

On the other end of the scale, I've just got the 7Hz x Crinacle Salnotes Dioko planar IEMs, they are stunning. Best listening experience I've had (in my very limited experience!)
