A little bit of a strange question I think.
Has anyone ever cycled to the airport and left their bike there? Locked up and went on holiday?
According to the website they’ve got all the necessities.
I’m not sure if that means they will be good or if it means it’s less likely to get stolen because not many people loiter.Interested to know anyone’s thoughts. ( Other than get a taxi/bus/ shouldn’t fly in the first place / drive)

Was thinking about bike packing the NC500 around Scotland this summer.
The semi-plan is head up after Glastonbury- so around June 27th/28th (either a terrible idea or a very very terrible idea).
Leave Tuesday Morning and do a casual 200km back to back before getting the train bike. Maybe even time to throw in a Munro around the Torridon area.
Has anyone do it ? (Presumably yes). Does anybody have any recommendations for it? I’d really like to use bivvy the whole around and enjoy the auld loch or two for cleaning. The pleasant theme of the holiday is ‘suffering in the Uk’, so I think it’s a good choice.
My main concerns are the midges will eat me alive. So I was wondering if anyone has advice about that? Maybe just a light weight tent to stay in ? ( also recommendations accepted).
I’m accepting that the weather will be truly Scottish so hadn’t really planned to pack sun cream. Or maybe water proof sun cream.
Cheers

Hello
Just looking for advice on a project, I want to get up and going. It’s been a little disjointed, and tried switching to Campagnolo groupset having previously always used shimano.
Running into a few problems and I am wondering on the best way to rectify them, so any advice would be appreciated.
Have got a sexy Italian (Columbus steel) frame, and naturally thought it should have Italian parts on it. Going for a old meets more modern (ish) (think 1990 meets 2011) look. So I bought a 10speed power toque Campagnolo velocce group set.
First problem is that the on my frame has got standard British threads (which confused me endlessly to begin with), so I have found a bottom bracket that should fit and work with the cranks
The next problem is the wheels. I have an ultrega hub on the wheels I want to use. Can I put a new 10speed cassette and chain on those wheels and use that with the veloce groupset or I am I going to need a whole need set of wheels?
The other option is just giving up and reverting back to shimano and riding around on an imposter for ever. And ever. Which id rather avoid.
Any advice would be appreciated!
Cheers

Hello
I’m looking to sell my run-around Bike, it’s nothing special, I bought on it on the forum a few months ago, but am leaving London, so looking to see it give some one else some enjoyment.
I’ve attached a picture as the parts aren’t particularly special.
It’s a small frame, 7 speed, down tubes.Pick up only.
Looking for £70. Must go this weekend.
Based In SE London (se19)

@mi7rennie I could be interested in the wheel. If you are still selling?
-
@platypus I'd be interested in matching wheel set and possibly light- if you were able to post it?
Will take restrap saddle bag if available
