42 and 44 here… there’s a good mix of ages across class-mates Dad’s (grammar police, that doesn’t seem to scan correctly but nevermind) and I don’t feel too old in comparison.
No parent races at sports day to get apprehensive about, thankfully. Doesn’t seem like that kind of school.
Being an (slightly) older Dad seems to have benefits and drawbacks, much like most things! I do think there’s a ‘kids keep you young’ upside; even the incessant questions have helped re-engage with nature, noticing the little things etc.
The non-e-assist cargo bike is hard on the knees though -

Thank you - that’s interesting.
I actually spotted my bike in the background of a Bespoked ‘meet the maker’ from 2012.

That looks so good. Matching racks are super cool and the S&S very special. Edited to say : belt-compatible and Rohloff too! Wow.
Thanks for bringing the thread to the top.
I recently picked up a Mather which was shared in ‘non-eBay’ thread on-here, and immediately did a debut run up to Stonehenge for the solstice last month.
Needs some tweaks (e.g. oddly it has v-levers and canti brakes, so the lever feel is on/off and needs a really firm hand), and I’ll post more -and better photos when that’s done.
However the attention to detail and quality in the frame is really clear. -

Just to share the outcome of a court case. Jail time. The driver was above the alcohol limit and trace of drugs.

So much recognise the issues and outcomes here…
Left-handed but do a lot with my right, like use scissors - because we never had left-handed ones at home. Like others, I think lot of cross-dominance is an adaptation to a right-handed world.
When I play cricket (terribly) I bowl left handed, but bat right handed. Rounders (no baseball at my school) was bat/bowl left handed though.
There seems to be a theme where underarm/leg-stuff trends to the right side.
Use a knife and fork the traditional (right-handed) way, though I couldn’t for any money way tell you which way that is until I sat at a table and picked them up - you wouldn’t want me to set the dinner service!
Golf I’ve tried both and neither seems natural. Pool and snooker left handed.
Mouse in my right hand.
Was never denied my left hand at school but had non-stop remedial handwriting lessons through middle school (45 degree, bent wrist etc) which were absolutely no use and I found it embarrassing to be pulled from class.
I remember having badminton coaching where various coaches would try to swap my hands - probably because I was awful at both. -

Hey all,
No longer have a bike suitable for these, so I might as well pass them on.
I didn’t ride them (build went in a different direction then frame later sold), and there are indications of wear on the rims, some less glossy spots, the bearings could do with some attention.
Campag freehub up to 11-speed.
Hence saying ‘spares/repair’. Tubs would need replacing, I do have a new set of 25c Bontrager R4’s if a buyer is interested.
Inspection welcome, but they are in Bournemouth.
I’m going to say £150 to start a conversation - let me know if this is way out given uncertainty on serviceability.
There will be Campagnolo 11-sp groupset (Record and Super Record, pre-2015 parts when I get other boxes unpacked). -
