I'm getting fed up trying to get 28mm tyres and tubes on and off of tubeless-compatible rims.

I definetely don't want to go tubeless, and the few rims that folks have said are easy to mount tubed tyres on seem really 'aero'.. it's just my riding to work bike. I just want to fit a normal rim that looks like an Open Pro! But... these are disc wheels.

Anyone know of any non-aero rims I can get my Gravel Kings on and off of? Max tyre I run is a 32mm.

It's my stealth bike, so i'd like black if poss.

I'm on the verge of just buying Open Pro CDs.

As above really! Something that can take 25s with guards and is a bit lively. Mercian Audax would be perfect.

I’ve nothing against uk builders. I’ve had a few things custom made over the years by very skilled people (a suit, an engagement ring etc). In each case the work was great, but I was usually disappointed that the end result didn’t quite match what I had in mind. You don’t have that worry from a production frame.

And as you say, none of the above will ride like a Cielo. There are steel bikes and there are steel bikes.

My old DeKerf and Pinarello are in a different league to my (sold) 853 Genesis or my Presige Charge. The new steels are not as supple even from the same tubeset

Frameset though, eg steel frame and fork. Genesis and All City both carbon unless you count the 853 Equilibrium which is limited or the disc 631... which isn’t really a road bike in the spirit of a Cielo.

I’d dearly love a Cielo, or a Signal Saltzman. Sigh...

Yup. Not made anymore either.. think I missed out. Anyone else making production lugless steel frame sets with clearance for proper mudguards? Only one I can think of is the Soma ES.

Hi! As per the subject really... who makes them?

At the moment i've only found the VO Grand Cru to have a split race.

I have a fork with a slightly undersize crown race seat, and i'd rather use a split race than Loctite on a normal (non-split) race.
