Chris King Cielo Sportif Racer, 57cm size.
I bought this off eBay a few months ago for £850 and it has been in the box since. I’m still saving for storm repairs to my garden fence so reluctantly I need to let this go.
There are 2 areas where the paint could benefit from touching up - 1 is under the fork crown, the other is the cable stops which have some surface rust. I was planning to just brush paint these bits as they’re not in very obvious areas so not sure it justifies anything more doing and the rest of the paint is in surprisingly good condition.
I’ll include the headset but the stem is just on there for the photos.
Asking £700. I’m not a massive fan of the price drop / bumps thing so if you see it and want to just make an offer go ahead. That said I’m already taking £150 hit so sensible offers please. Thanks.

Hi. It’s in exactly the same condition as shown here. It was given 2 coats of Framesaver internally and then boxed up and stored in my loft.
The only sign of wear is some paint missing under the BB shell and a tiny bit on the dropouts from wheels going in and out. it’s all minor - and I can sell you a matching tin of enamel to suit. I checked the DuPont paint code with Joe Bell and this is the closest RAL match to that code.

It's one of the few things I see in cycling that I think could reasonably be called a 'collector's item'.
You can read some of the history of this frame here https://www.renehersecycles.com/1995-rivendell-turning-the-tide/
and some design notes in the attached PDF (scroll to the Road frame section - page 2).Only selling because my house suffered quite badly in the storm last week and the insurance won't cover everything.

I'm re-advertising this at a lower price. You can see i've switched the RD for a Chorus 10 med cage one but the rest is per original sale.
Chas Roberts built fillet brazed CX frame, made for the Sigma shop in Hampton Wick (before it was Sigma Sport). Columbus mix, extremely light build, (sub 9kg).
st 57 c-t, top tube 55 c-c
Very supple ride, great gravel bike, but i've got too many in the stable, so this one needs to go.
These parts are brand new or nearly new:
PAUL touring cantis with Moon Units hangers.
Syncros stem, Thomson post.
Hope Pro 3 hubs on Mavic Open Pro, Panaracer Gravel King SK 35mm (i've had GK 38mm on with bags of room still - those are 38mm in the first photo).
Looking for £900. Collection in Redhill Station (30 mins from London Bridge) or maybe Waterloo / Victoria.
