A Cannondale M700 mountain bike from the 90s. Recent shed find.

• Frame is a bit ratty but still looks sweet.
  
• Deore LX drive train and XT shifters.
  
• Gumwalls are perishing will need new tyres. I had no problem riding it back from Streatham though.
  
• Bars and stem have a crappy DIY paint job.
  
• I think the front brake cable might need changing.
  
  

A nice project with loads of potential I reckon. Worse condition ones seem to have sold for 150 in the arse end of nowhere, how does £180 sound for this?

I am looking to buy a bike in the London area or within easy train journey's reach. Around the 53-54cm mark would be ideal.

Something practical to stick a pair of Marathon Plus tyres on and chug around town on regularly. I don't mind if it has gears or not, but I want brakes!

Don't want drop handlebars.

I'm open to either something reasonably nice or something beaterish.

The cheaper the better but I don't want rubbish and if it's the right fit then I'm up for dropping a little wedge.

It seems to be an absolute minefield of turdage buying bikes these days online. 4 or 5 years back it used to feel like a walk in the park!

Perhaps I've lost my magic touch.

There's a room going spare at the studios I reside at in Loughborough Junction.

It's an upstairs room in a railway arch, windowless but with some natural light from the communal area.

There's a metal workshop downstairs and a handful of artists upstairs. Everyone is lovely. Next door we've got an independent cinema and a boxing gym and there's a terrific greasy spoon across the street.

Woah, thanks for the hot tip on the Lidl Speculoos mince pie. Added to the shopping list. Mental.

I tried a Pret mince pie a few days back. Don't be tricked by their short and stout little appearance. Make sure you've got a proper plate to hand, sugar and pastry crumbs will spray absolutely everywhere. Not bad but it didn't get me humming jingle bells.

Someone nicked my seatpost and saddle last night.

It's for a Tern Verge D9.

I think my internet reading seems to suggest they take a 33.9mm diameter seatpost.

Testing on the off chance someone has anything kicking around.

I am selling this laptop which was surplus to an office I have recently been working with.

I am looking for £350 for this which I think seems to be cheap for the spec.

This laptop has great specs and is working as it should do.

It is in lovely condition with just a few small signs of use as shown in my photos.

The screen works perfectly without any marks or dead pixels.

Sometime it blinks a few times after opening the lid from sleep mode but I think this is fairly normal!

Battery life is "normal".

Will be supplied with my old charger, but please bare in mind this has seen plenty of use (still works fine).
