The 2 he saved weren’t remotely decent pens, but I will say once Holland went a bit more direct they looked difficult to deal with and the introduction of weghorst caused all sorts of problems. For me, he was way more effective than depay. Bourg Saint Maurice is excellent. Stayed near tignes les breviers in 2017, and the area was excellent, though the final 20km bonus climb to our digs from bsm was character building (part of the Col d’Iseran)….

From bourg saint maurice, you’ve some excellent climbs, though I’m not sure on bike hire.

Great ride today, and good to see quite a few folk out on the course. Stopped at rinkoffs for a pastry 2/3 of the way through the cobbles and enjoyed Canobie road, though it makes me think the other side must be harder…

Any way, great ride and hope to do it again soon!

Lots of failures, and QA issues. Know 5 people that had various iterations of the palace. 3 had issues. Shame as they looked nice…

Resolute are good for tougher off-road and mud. They cope with any kind of gravel fine but are draggy on the road.

Assos way better, with the exception of the entry level ones… that’s vs the mid range lecol bibs. The fit is way better.
