I have searched but didn’t find anything up to date / relevant - although I’m sure this has been covered..
What’s the best way to imbed/upload a series of photos? e.g for a ‘clearout’ thread in the classifieds. Which of the online photo hosts is easiest? I’m sure years ago I used to use photobucket and it would give you a sting of HTML that would embed as many photos as you want, I vaguely remember I tried with google photos last time I tried and ended up uploading them direct to LFGSS 5 at a time, surely there’s a better way?

I used this, 0.5mm is ample, it’s nice durable cable though, had it taped to my frame for a year and it hasn’t got a mark on it, and cheap.

Yeh to be fair it really depends what state you’re in by Dunwich. Me and two mates did it last year and got picked up by ones parents as they live just outside Ipswich, I wouldn’t have minded the ride but I think they were both pretty happy for the lift.
I guess if the Dynamo itself is a known quantity and no big deal for you as a rider then it’s not too bad, if the dynamo is a pretty big deal in of itself then yeh it’s a bit of a slog.

It’s really not that bad. I’d say it’s probably only the last few miles that are on proper town/city roads, especially after you’ve had a rest on the beach. Depends if/how much you’re struggling by dunwich I guess. The route back to Ipswich is actually mostly pretty nice until you hit martlesham/kesgrave (about 4 miles into town and I’m pretty sure it’s a ‘net’ downhill), but then it’s Sunday morning so it’s mega quiet. Especially if you’re in a group it’s pretty leisurely unless the conditions are properly against you.

Just stumbled across this thread and though ‘perfect!’, just built a MTB, have an almost unheard of number of weekends off in the next couple of months... and then found out it’s the mother in laws birthday on the 12th 😩
Maybe next time... there was talk of one of these trips on peddars way / coastal path in Norfolk, that’d be right up my street and I might even be able to provide accomo/lifts to/from station the night before/after.

Might be a bit late now. Ring them, they’re super helpful and would probably send it next day if you needed it.

Is guess very little difference, if any.
The only issue would be if the ends of the jaws were too fat to fit between the links, in which case a few minutes with a file would solve the problem.
11 speed chains are the smallest so if they fit those you shouldn’t have a problem, and I imagine most - if not all - are designed with 11 so chains in mind.

Fairly obtuse but..
The thin plastic tubing that carbon frames use as internal cable guides - any ideas what it is and/or where to source something similar?
Just stripped down my carbon roadie and it’s full of gunk, sadly the rear derailleur cable was seized in its plastic tube so the whole lot has to come out. I should be able to insert a new one without too much bother if I can find something appropriate.
Also, what do we think, just cover the cable to remove as much friction as possible or try to epoxy it inside the frame? It’s only a cheap ribble so I’m not too precious about doing daft things like this as long as it means I can ride it!

I'm probably having some built but I thought I'd ask on the off chance someone's selling something that fits the bill.
I'm looking for 45-55 deep, 25-28 wide, un-branded, un-garish. Don't want anything with loads of proprietary parts (no mavics zips etc.) so probably hand-builds. Ideally LB rims on some half decent hubs.
Don't ask for much do I! Cheers.

Think I've decided I'd like some carbon clinchers (rim brakes), getting them built isn't an issue, but I could do with spec recommendations.
The only thing that I think I know I want is
- LB RR46C02 or RRU45C02 (45 deep, 25-28 wide) - I'm 68kg and ride primarily in flat and windy Norfolk so anything deeper might be a bit of a handful.
- 20/24 (silver) spoke count seems adequate, my current alu wheels haven't ever struggled.
Hubs? I'd like; fairly bombproof, competitive weight, not hideously expensive, black or silver with as un-garish logos as possible. Miche? They seem underrated, cheap, reliable, just not overly sexy or weight weenie, I can live with that if they never go wrong.
Spokes? CX-rays seem the obvious choice? Worth the money? My current wheels use them and they're ruddy stiff. Anything else worth looking at? Where's the best place to buy them?

Seems perfectly acceptable for a bike at that price.. especially given stock wheels/tyres/finishing kit, could probably drop best part of 500g just by changing tyres, saddle & finishing kit and probably another 500g in wheels.
Like most of us I’d go a lot quicker losing 1kg off of me than off of my bike. I mainly just wanted to check it wasn’t a proper heffa..

Indeed, a Colnago it is not, personally I don’t think it’s a bad looking bike. Plus I can only see the top tube when I’m riding it anyway.. also true about the finishing kit, but I’d be swapping it, and at £999 it’s more than acceptable.
I’m really looking at the important stuff you can’t change easily. It seems like all the frame specs are bang up to date, apart from the threaded BB but personally that’s my preference - although not everyone’s. I’ll take £10-20 replacements you can do at home all day every day.

I believe people have used this sort of stuff with good effect, and no cows have to die 👍🏻
