Think I just saw a a swallow do a stall turn. Which is pretty fucking cool. I'm not really sure what happened since was quite fast but it was going along, angled up, stopped and next thing it was off in not quite its original direction but close to it. I kind of doubt myself now since I've never seen that before.

Sad news. It's where the Downs Link crosses the road (although I don't know if they were crossing or cycling on the road).

Not sure to be honest. I would say if you can put up a shelf you can make a wheel. And slightly wonky is ok but you can always remove the wonk with practice. Other than a spoke key you don't really need anything else - truing the wheel in an upturned bike is fine.
But it's really down to whether you like doing that sort of thing or not. It you don't then don't bother because life's too short. It does also depend on what you want the wheel for - racing on the track maybe not. Commuting go for it. Wheel building thread is place to go if you want to go that route.

Sorry just catching up on this now. Yes but outside. I don't know if it's the soil (heavy clay) but they seem to do much better than tomatoes outside for me. Stems can be a bit fragile but then you just stick them back in the earth and there is a good chance they will take. I used to live in a place where they were in all the shops so if I want to keep up with my green Chile habit I have to grow them.

Yeah I know I think most on here are. Really my point was that I saw his hazardous waste comments, in contrast to all his other actions to do with environmental things, as being more important.
Also having had a very close relative suffer with dementia I'm not willing to give him that excuse - he has been doing this shit his whole life.

Him making jokey, over the top comments to get a laugh isn't really anything new and doesn't stop him being a mad narcissist (possibly supports it). I just see the lightbulb comment as him playing to his adoring crowd and don't put too much weight on it. That is all - didn't mean to suggest he isn't a deranged lunatic.

is "fixie" back? past 2 days seen 3 people on relatively new fixed bikes of cinelli nature but no foot retention and in lycra clothing. Just wondering if I'm going to become fashionable again
