Do you have the hoods on the brifters rolled forward ready to tape the bars? A friend of mine was trying to set up his shifting with his hoods like this, it interfered with the shift paddles and drove him to the verge of insanity because he couldn’t get things indexed properly, rolled the hoods back and everything worked fine. Just a suggestion

Don’t know if anyone is familiar with this Instagram account.
Lots of fun cargo bike related content.

Lots of fond memories of Mike, as a Norwich local I spent a lot of my teenage years loitering around Borwells cycles then over at Mousehold Heath on my mountain bike. During his Giant years there were a lot of amazing shop bikes that we borrowed, some of which were cast offs from Rob Warner when he was sponsored by Giant.
I cracked a Giant ATX 990 frame just weeks before I went to Switzerland to ride the 97 world DH champs. Mike somehow fast tracked me a new frame, got me a Hardtail frame (that I still own) and a fresh pair of Marzocchi Bomber forks along with a Giant payed for and sponsored GB jersey! What a fucking top bloke!
Another fond memory is having him fly past me on either a faired recumbent or a pre-Lotus monocoque bike nearly every week during the local Tuesday night 10 mile time trials!
So sorry to hear that he isn’t doing well, I’d love to visit the workshop again to celebrate him when the inevitable unfortunately happens. It’s been years since I’ve seen Ian at Borwells and Andy Pegg. Such a great motley crew, I guess I need to thank them, as well as Mike obviously, for influencing my love of bikes!

Thank god that Dear Susan has quit framebuilding to take the reins of the U.K. Handbuilt Bicycle show and allow him to concentrate on promoting a handful of his best mates who are still building!
@platypus ditto, that’s also the best review I’ve heard about Petor’s customer service.

@D_Mars Sorry, I was just going by the pricing of a pair on a bike being split over in another thread.

I’ve got a Wound Up CX disc fork that is now surplus to requirements.
It’s 395mm a to c with 280ish mm of steerer tube with a star nut installed. 47mm rake, QR and ISO disc mount. Crown and all other alloy parts are polished silver with bare carbon legs.
I’m asking £300 including shipping within the U.K.

I’m selling my late fathers Klein Quantum road bike.
It’s a 57cm square, it’s not got brifters or a rear derailleur although I can probably find bits in his stash to assemble it as a full bike. It’s got campagnolo parts and a pair of Mavic Cosmos wheels. ITM bars and stem and a Syncros seat post that is unfortunately cracked.
The top tube has a couple of dents and there are some signs of corrosion under the paint in places.
Anyone got any ideas of value?
Thanks in advance.

I believe that those forks are from a Brother Big Bro.

How about using another offset bushing in the lower eye of the shock that would move the spring away from the seat tube? I know that this will alter leverage ratios etc, but with the amount of adjustability that you have with the shock, I'm sure you could overcome the minimal change made by using a second offset bushing.
