Off uni at the mo so I cycled over to my Grandma's house in Twickenham this morning to help her build some IKEA furniture, someone on a Cannondale roadie had a go at me for the skid I did going down the hill into Northcote Road to stop for the traffic lights... Something about how fixie skidders are ruining the road and it's dangerous to ride without brakes. The amusing part is I run a very obvious front brake with a big fuck off orange leaver, some people clearly just want to find things to get angry at and won't use any logic around it.

Friend of mine is looking for a new bike/frame, she's 5'3" so between a 49-52cm frame would probably be needed, doesn't want to spend more than £150 ish on the full bike. Apart from that, no real preference
Cheers
Max
EDIT: Just spoke to her, she'd prefer just the frame rather than a complete bike, and apparently "Yellow or Purple would be nice, but not required"

"Gazelle" Vintage Frame
Stickers say Champion Mondial, however I get the feeling they're lying, more likely an old Peugeot frame based on some of the lugging.
Admittedly it's quite beaten up and I don't think the brakes work properly
Would make a good project, I think a lot of the components are original bar probably the wheelsI think it's 60cm, I can double check later
Asking £40, literally just need to clear it out of the shed, it takes up way too much space

I can vouch for that dia compe clamp on brake, got it for an old undrilled track frame I have and works perfectly
As for gearing, it really depends on where you're riding. I ride mainly in London where it's nice and flat, and 48x17 works wonders for me, but maybe if you're new to fixed a slightly smaller ratio would be nicer
