Happy new year all. Selling my Kurt Kinetic Road Machine wheel-on fluid turbo trainer to make way for a smart trainer. This is the basic model Road Machine to which I’ve added the InRide 3 Power Sensor making it functionally identical to the Road Machine Smart 2 currently sold by Kinetic. The InRide sensor has Bluetooth and ANT+ connectivity for power data and I’ve been happily using it with Zwift for the last couple of years. The Road Machine is rock-solid, easy to set up and take down, and folds up neatly for under-sofa storage etc. This one has been well used but well looked after.
Since I’m switching to Direct Drive I have some surplus extras to throw in. So:
- Kinetic Road Machine with QR skewer
- InRide 3 power sensor
- Elite Travel riser block, grey (like this)
- Vittoria Zaffiro Pro 700x23c trainer tyre, part-worn (like this)
- Tacx 700x23c trainer tyre, part-worn (like this)
Looking for
£120£100 for this bundle. For that I’m happy to deliver within central-ish London so please ask if that appeals and I can confirm. Or you’re welcome to collect from N7 (Holloway). Finally, I'm willing to post if you cover the cost of a collection service (weight approx. 14kg).Separately, I’m also selling Kinetic’s Traxle 12mm thru-axle adapter for this and other Kinetic trainers. The one I have is the Medium Thread version (1.5mm pitch) fitting a variety of widths, and is used, but not by me, as I bought it for a new bike before deciding to go Direct Drive. Yours for £15 posted, if you like, or collection from N7, or reasonably local meet-up.
Any questions, please ask. Thanks for looking.

Selling my 2014 Felt Z100 road bike as I desperately try to adhere to a one-in-one-out policy. This was my first road bike and has given me many years of enjoyment. It’s done about 9,000km but for the last 14 months or so has been used almost entirely on the trainer.
The bike is in very good condition for the use it’s had, and has only ever been stored indoors. A few minor dings to the paintwork and the odd scuff on the extremities, as you would expect. Some chain-suck scarring on the chainstays behind the chainrings which originally went through the paintwork and which I subsequently touched up – just cosmetic damage, I’m confident, but needs pointing out. Please see full photo coverage here.
- Aluminium frame with carbon fork

- Nearly new 11–32 cassette and SRAM chain
- Dog Fang chain catcher
- Part-worn Michelin Pro 4 Endurance 700×25Cs
- BikeRegister marked, but not stickered (I’ll give you a sticker if you want it, and I’ll transfer the registration after sale)

Early stages of a pre-Christmas clear-out...
Selling a pair of Shimano PD-EH500 commuting/touring SPD pedals (grey). A few scuffs and a little surface wear, but they are otherwise sound and have not done a great deal of mileage. Here is the listing on Wiggle if you want to know more.
SOLD, collection from N7 (Holloway, near the stadium) or I can post for a fiver. Also selling a set of Profile Design clip-on aluminium aero bars, not sure what model, sorry. They look like the Sonic Ergo, but are probably more basic. Only exposed marking on them is “0601”. I’ve used them on 31.8mm bars – shims can be bought/bodged for smaller bars. Fizik bar tape wrap courtesy of the previous owner.
SOLD, collection from N7 or I can post for a fiver. -
Thanks again for the comments, folks. For future readers, Clerkenwell Screws was a fascinating visit but they don't do screws that small, sadly! I ended up first going to a mobile repair shop near here and getting a couple of ex-iPad screws, before then finding someone on Fleabay selling little packs of "Garmin HRM replacement screws" which look a bit different but seem to be fine.
Crucially I also found a different set of screwdrivers with free-spinning little bits on the tops of the drivers, so you can press nice and hard while turning them and avoid stripping the screws in the first place. A+ would recommend.

Morning – yeah, the heads themselves are pretty soft (or maybe I've been using a slightly undersized screwdriver); the case seems fine.
Just measured one screw with my digi calipers and it's 4.5mm long, the head is 2.85mm wide and the threads are 1.47mm wide in total. Pics attached.
Wouldn't know where to start as far as fastener shops but any advice much appreciated; I'm in north London if that helps!
Thanks :)

Looking for an Ortlieb Duffle (or Duffel, if you prefer) in 110L or 85L. Not fussed about condition as long as it’s still waterproof. On the hunt for a new cargo rack bag.
For the avoidance of doubt, I refer to the one without wheels.
Thanks!

Resolute Bay unfortunately appear to be in the process of going out of business – I ordered a couple of pairs of jeans a couple of weeks ago which were too large for me, but haven't been able to get any response about returning/exchanging them. So I'm keeping the pair that just about fit me, and here is the other pair which definitely don't.
– 34" waist, 32" length*
– slim fit, washed indigo, nice and stretchy
– usual reflective detailing on pockets and turn-upsThe RB site and packing slip/labels aren't terribly consistent with their use of "NX3", "NX4" etc but this page is what I ordered, and you can see the rest of the spec there.
*Two important details on the sizing:
– The label on the jeans says 32/32 but the packing slip and packaging say 34/32 (see photos) and I've confirmed they're about 2" larger than the 32/32 I also received, so I think the label is wrong.
– Because every manufacturer seems to size differently and have a different relationship to actual on-the-body measurements, for the avoidance of doubt these are the actual measurements of the jeans just taken by me: waistband 36" (91cm), inseam 30" (77cm), total length 43" (110cm).Bought two weeks ago for £60, opened only to try on, yours for £50 posted. EDIT: Now £40 posted.
Thanks for looking.

My first bike sale on LFGSS – I hope I'm doing it right.
TLDR: Seeking £80 for the bike, £15 for like-new Kryptonite Keeper Chain 85cm (like this) with one (1) key. Or £90 for both. Located in N7.
Bought on a whim on fleabay three years ago as I wanted the diversion of rebuilding an old bike. Having done that and very much enjoyed it, however, I haven’t really ridden it much, so I think it’s time to find it a new home. It has clearly “seen action” as I will explain below, but I think it would make a lovely pub bike, town bike or even just a source of parts.
Vital statistics:
1983 men’s Raleigh Stratos in “Electric Blue”
60cm (23½”) center-to-top measurement
10-speed (Suntour Volante 5-speed rear derailleur × Compe V double up front)
Modern 700c wheels of unknown brand; modern cassette (see below)
Like-new Gatorskin 25mm tyres
Charge Spoon saddleI was able to find the pages from the ‘83 Raleigh catalogue; you can see the original spread here and here. What a time that was! I wonder what happened to the “alloy inflator”. In terms of sizing, it sounds enormous but I'm 5’ 11” and have been quite comfortable on it.
Original Weinmann caliper brakes and levers with Dia-Compe extension levers. Original handlebars, stem, down-tube shifters and seatpost (which is not seized; just checked). Modern generic platform pedals. During the rebuild I replaced the chain with a KMC X9-93 and replaced the brake blocks with Clarks CP100s. It also got new brake and gear cables and outers, new headset and bottom-bracket bearings, and new bar tape. It cleaned up reasonably well – you can see there are still plenty of dings and little bits of surface rust and perma-grime, but on the whole considering its age I think it’s still looking pretty good.
Now, the quirks. When I rode it home after buying, I noticed a degree of “crabbing” – it turned out the rear triangle was slightly bent. Quite how that happened I cannot say – there’s no visible crash damage on the frame, for example – but in any case I was able to cold-set it straight and have ridden ~130 incident-free miles on it since. There are a few other idiosyncrasies resulting from the mixture of original and modern parts. Modern hubs are wider than they were back in ‘83, so the front wheel is quite tight in the fork which is a bit of a faff when removing/replacing. Ditto in the rear - I think the dropouts have been spread at some point to try to accommodate a modern wheel. The rear wheel has a modern 9-speed cassette – but the original Suntour derailleur is a 5-speed, so it sits in the middle of the cassette and leaves the highest/lowest sprockets untouched. This probably sounds awful but actually works fine. The chain skips occasionally which is probably just due to chainring wear. And obviously the brakes aren’t as good as modern equivalents – the Weinmanns having a tendency to flex a bit – but they work fine.
You now know as much as I do about the bike. I hope it piques someone’s interest and I can find a good home for it. It’s currently secured with a Kryptonite Chain Keeper 85cm, which I also wish to part with. I’m after £80 for the bike, £15 if you just want the lock, or £90 for both. I’m in N7, near the stadium, happy to meet reasonably locally just about any time. Or if you’re further afield, really want it and don’t mind paying for shipping, I’m happy to look into that.
I think I’ve managed to attach five reasonable photos – but there are hi-res versions and loads more here showing the various details; do have a look. Questions, comments – fire away.
