Yeah 183 rear and 203 front.
I installed the steering dampener which is on maximum stiffness just to avoid jerkiness under braking.
Sound proper dedicated riding in ice and snow, but i guess theres a certain charm to a bike like this that makes it quite attractive to do so.Headset was smart, one big screw down cap for preload with an allen key to tighten, mark described it as being quill-stem-like.

XT is so impressive i have to say, the ease of installation and quality shifting is proper reassuring.
I am yet to get close to needing 32*46T though and i doubt the bike would be very stable at that on a slow climb with two passengers. Larger chain ring in order i think.
Brakes are mint, I can't comment on how good XT or Saint would have been but felt like I should go all out with 3 of us and a worried mum riding behind. -
Thanks all, forgot to mention big debt owed to SBC Cycles.
@jamiekirkham was brilliant throughout, from sourcing everything Bullitt (even delivering via a bullitt) and building my wheels.
@markskulls_sbc_cycles also very calmly talked me through how the front headset worked when i thought id completely fucked it up and was not in a good place mentally. -

Yeah I was thinking your seat looked comfortable. 4 months sounds good. what setup were you using prior to bullitt? handlebar seat or pannier ?
I went with the standard foldable seat and bbx box.
I was under the impression that the seat came with shoulder straps but it only came with two waist belts.
I could definitely do something to make her feel more secure and stable by acquiring some shoulder straps at least but she's a stubborn kid and I know she's going to make me pay if I don't get her into this on her terms. -

Atomic22 website is gone. Can't seem to find them for sale anywhere. Anyone know what happened?
Thought something like this would be suitable for a Bullitt cargo I'm assembling as the front wheel is a little difficult to D-Lock.
Anyone got a verdict on the kyptonite skewers that require the bike to be upside down? going to be a challenge for someone even if the bike was unlocked tbh. -

In both of them the kid sat rear-facing, and there was deffo no room for a second kid sitting on the same side.
The Bullitt Canopy actually widens out the space using steel bars to extend outwards and fill the gaps with nylon sheet/padding. Conversely the box sides Bullitt sell fit inside the platform frame and have the opposite effect.

Great info, thanks all.
Two or three locks it is then. Particularly pleased to know you were able to lock yours outside for so long. I'll be storing ours in our underground carpark inside a locked bike store room but the local youths are notorious for getting into carparks and have nicked a couple of poorly Locked bikes in the past.
Admittedly I haven't tried the bullitt yet, just a Bakfiets (which was incredibly relaxed). Will test the bullitt this week but pretty sure it's the one or me due to the canopy and fold down seat suiting need so well. -
Looking to buy a bullitt with canopy for kid carriage
My question to you guys is, about locks. What tips do you have for locking these things up? Have you taken any extra measures to ensure you're able to leave these bikes unattended for a long amount of time? Considering they are so long, has anybody found issues with locking on pavement/bike stands?
I saw larryvsharry have an optional extra of ABUS BORDO + DETECTO 8077 ALARM, has anyone gone to the extent of using the alarm?

Ok, so I'm planning on buying a Bullitt for kid and dog carriage. Their total load would currently be 20kg, I suppose the canopy and seat would add a little bit more weight, would that be insufficient load for its intended/designed stability? Would the dampener be more necessary at that end of the scale?
Maybe they are trialling the idea as a solution to people abandoning their Eurosport subscriptions/sky sports.
If enough people who see this option chose it then they will decide to go ad-less.
We have prime, Netflix, sky now, and occasional iplayer in our home, daughter has only seen a few adverts in her life as result.
