Similar reasons here, I have Tacx Rollers and they're so loud I've managed to wake the babies up from the other side of patio doors. Needed something a lot quieter and the direct drive really helps achieve that.
@scs sounds pretty strong resistance, please tell me it's even possible to do 100w at 90-100rpm? -

With the intent of providing a warning to others, my tacx flux now slips above 120w when on the downstroke with the pedal, this started after I took a brief break from pedalling at the end of an hour training session and came with a nice little burning smell.
Had another go since and was under the impression it might be ok for about 5 minutes but no such joy, slips and smells. This is the second one to have a problem in two weeks so probably best steering clear of the Flux for a while.
Was proper enjoying the nightly training session as well, got to find a suitable replacement as soon as possible. -
My tacx flux stopped transmitting a power reading during a zwift session last week, required a reboot for it to start working again.
Now when i turn it on it seems to require some time/restarting before it'll transmit anything, despite there being a Bluetooth connection present.
May end up with a new ticket to tacx and taking your route myself. -
I'm with everyone else, the di2 box is ugly and just horribly poor design which needs to be shoved into some orriface somewhere and the bar end design is the appropriate next step.
Those pro vibe handlebars are just narrower in the drops which is why the flare out again, surely most if not all bars are hollow, so all those that take di2 internally at the hoods are already compatible ? -

Well it looks like I was more than a little naive with my last response.
Sigma sent me a flux which has clearly been opened and used before which makes a grinding flywheel noise constantly. Very sour purchase, time to fill in a returns request. Luckily took photos of the box as it arrived and the noise it's making is far from desirable. -

I think I've decided to go for a Tacx Flux... silence is a virtue in this house of newborn babies, from which I rarely get to leave for a bike ride and I can't justify the neo one bit. Trouble is that the RRP is 699 and noone has it on sale despite it being the season for sales. i suppose waiting until the ground freezes mid winter to buy an indoor trainer is not the smartest move but does anybody know of somewhere I can pick this up cheaper?
