Also, whilst it's commendable he can freewheel downhill on a unicycle, how is he doing so so slowly? Where's the rush come from? -

What a genius business idea, how that is worth £5k (we 1:1 with eur yet?) I don't know! But judging by the number of sky kits paired to Pinarello Dogmas with full 9070 (and particular body types) I saw yesterday suggests there's a market.
I did definitely see a guy engage his motor on a beach tyred bike in Wimbledon, he just sat back relaxed and maintained his speed up hill with a grin. -

Good point, sadly the 46 first wave is about 9am so I'd be pushing through a lot of slower riders, whereas the 46 joins up with some decently paced 100milers on their return leg.
I have another 100mi sportive later this year so might just do the 46 for what it is. If it's raining I definitely don't fancy entering surrey for he inevitable road closures. -

So I'm booked in to do the 46 as I waited for its ballot results before going for a charity spot at which time there were no 100mi spots left.
I remember where the courses split off last year, what's to stop me from just completing the 100mi feigning ignorance? Would my timing chip just put me down as a DNF ? -

Thanks @Carlooooo
You're right, they look fine just frustrated that I need to shop more!
Found an email for quarq yesterday and they confirmed the same thing -
I'm jealous of your bedding in/test ride. But then again, if this is how you keep snapping your handlebars I will stick to British roads for now.
