Could you please show me a steel frame available that does the same and is cheaper and as light or lighter!? Or even just lighter.
Steel is expensive nowadays. It's a pity.
If people are happy with alu and carbon thats fine. But on a more serious note. In my opinion steel suits more people than represented by the market. So steel frames are relatively more expensive because mass production is magic. The Pfadfinder is expensive. It's not light. But it's lovely with a really sensible weight for a steel frame and a price thats agreeable for a niche product if it suits your needs/wants. You get the bb, Chris King headset, columbus fork, a nice paintjob and now the price starts to get reasonable.
You could almost go costum, but if the Pfadfinder fits your purpose it's still fairplay.
There is no Instagram involved.

bb drop is 25mm. At least not negative. Haha. Its a camera trick. I remember surly coming out with a shorter troll fork only a few weeks after i built it. The newer one had 420mm a-c. Would've been better. Still a cheap frameset. I had no idea what i was doing. Handles just strange. But not bad. Had it on 26" for a few years. Now on 650b and handling feels a little more balanced. Its my heavy tourer. So only gets used with bags. Else I have other bikes.

When people go 700c to 650b they'd talk about how it lowers trail and increases stability with a front load, maybe going from 26 to 650b has the opposite effect and is twitcher? Again I don't know.
This. It gets more twitchy. It's not much, but on 90s mtb frames for example it can get too hectic, because they are already muchos nervous.
