@Tangina - That's a little bit too much for me, sorry!
@bikes_knob - That's actually a great suggestion, sir, but lurking here on LFGSS, I feel that it's okay to buy a secondhand bicycle. I'm hoping to get a little lucky, hopefully..
@fizzy.bleach - When I pedal.. I don't feel any weight on it. I like the feeling when I rode a fixed gear.. everything is challenging.
@PhilDAS - Me no understand. :( -- Thank you, sir.
@Geoffnotsle - Oh, what a great price.. but I asked a few about the size and it is probably too big for me. I really appreciate it though!
@853Superfly - Family-wise, none of them uses a bike. I'm the oldest and my siblings are like 6 and 2 years of age... Relatives, we don't have one here in the UK. Friends.. erm, I'm somewhat anti-social. So I don't know about that one. Ah, so fuji and charge are the default ones, learned something new! Erm, beater.. I like beater. Just because I won't be crying over it if ever it gets nicked, but I'll still be pissed.. somehow.
@GreatSince78 - Thank you, sir! But before I get ahead of myself, I'm worrying that I'll probably waste your time building it if the price isn't right.. I really have no idea about the handlebar.. or anything at all, as long as it is a fixed gear with a brake on it. XD!
--Sorry for the late reply, guys. I have a couple of modules that I'm the leader on each group, very hectic.. I sincerely apologize.

Greetings (Yep, this is a long one..),
I'm currently new to this forum and I'm in need of a way to budget my money as a student in University. I find myself contemplating whether I should get a bike or not as a way to cut cost on my monthly spendings.
I guess I made up my mind and made this thread to proceed with what I think is best for me. To be honest, I recently found out that I'm someone who has diabetes. This is also another reason why I wanted to get one, as a form of cardio in which my GP insisted.
I have been lurking LFGSS because it was recommended by google. I was searching for second hand bikes and this site was the most appealing one.
I prefer fixed gear (including brakes) or single speed, I don't mind. I'm a total newbie so please if you're going to say a part or anything, it would be great if you kindly put a definition of what it is, etc.
Height - 5'7 (171cm) - I hope you could recommend me something that'll fit me..
Weight - 93kg (205lbs) - I hope a little rough road won't break the frame as it bounces with my weight..I also did an experiment of riding a barclays bicycle to University. It took me about 45 minutes but it was very uncomfortable. I feel like I could do better with pedaling my actual weight, or with the force of my weight in each pedal (reason why I am planning to try and buy a fixed gear one).
If there are other informations needed, please let me know..
Also, as I stated that I'm a total newbie, I'd like a reasonable price for the bike you're about to offer. I don't have an actual estimation on the cost but if anyone would like to help me decide whether I should take it or not, please do.
Kind Regards,
Introvert.
