"Dear Velodrome Shop Team,
today I received my order, a "Velodrome Shop Elite 1/8 17 teeth sprocket". I have to admit that I find it to be a little underwhelming qualitywise for an orginal retail price of 30 pounds.
Taking the picture from your website as a reference (https://www.velodrome.shop/track-sprockets/velodrome-shop-elite-1/8-track-sprockets/), the machining of the teeth seems pretty different.
Also, there is no ring-shaped notch in the front face of the cog, compared to the picture. In addition, the label on the packaging foil states a different product ID as stated in the order details (ESP1017N FIXED SPROCKET vs VS-SP117).
Is it possible that I received a wrong product, i.e. a regular cog of lesser quality and not the "elite" version? I added photos in the attachment to clarify my reasoning.
Would you please double-check if I received the correct item and get back to me as soon as possible?
Thank you in advance.Florian"

jup, i do feel properly scammed... @BigH do you have a good shop/website/source at hand where I could find an EAI black in 17t for reasonable money?

sorry for digging up an old thread, but I need your opinion on this:
I ordered a 17t "elite" sprocket at their website. https://www.velodrome.shop/track-sprockets/velodrome-shop-elite-1/8-track-sprockets/
I was in the market for a good, mid-range cog at an affordable price, since I was hesitant to splash the money on an eai deluxe cog.
The item I received was underwhelming to say the least (see photos). Me being far from an expert, I still find the cog really disappointing quality-wise. Machining of the teeth is pretty different. Also, there is no ring-shaped notch in the front face of the cog - a total mismatch of website and reality...
What do you think of the quality of the cog they sent me? Worth an original retail price of 30 pounds or just rubbish?

Good selection and I'm familiar with most of them. Nonetheless, if you have a closer look, you will realize that all of those wheelsets are different from the wabis, which are rather specced for low weight. So my initial post was addressing people who might also value a low weight for their builds. Thank you, though.

their answer:
"Dear Florian,
I am very sorry that you are not happy with the product that you have received however the photos confirm that you have received the correct item.
Please note the product image depicts a 14T sprocket, larger sized sprocket such as the 17T that you ordered do not have the ‘notched’ section however this does not mean they are different products.
