I recently got into pedal kit building as a distraction from atrocious guitar playing. I’ve used Jed’s peds and another and agreed there’s not much between the kits. While there isn’t an absolute need to go out and buy stuff, I found that a few things made the experience much more fun: a T12 soldering iron with a small chisel tip, a good helping hand (flexible arms not wingnut joints) and a decent magnifier - components are small! Kits supply multi strand wire but I found solid core easier to solder to pcbs.

Reader’s wives.... the hornet is on its third chassis and second shell. The eagle eyed will notice that the Rising fighter has the front bumper mount from a hornet chassis grafted on... both are on their third paint scheme. First was per the catalogue, second was sick fadez, this one is go faster stripes.

This is an XL, broadly 58-60cm. Would split if you are interested in the frame https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/334141/#comment14760863

The wheels on this beauty are neither Mavic nor sealed bearing.... but they are Shroom with cup and cone bearings and do have a flip flop hub which accommodates single speed (no freewheel currently attached). However they aren’t expensive at £75 with tyres and would split if you want to buy and can pick up in central London https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/334141/#comment14760863

I’m honestly not sure if this would accommodate someone 6’5” but it might be worth considering? https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/334141/#comment14760863

Decent bid for frame might convince me to split https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/334141/#comment14760863

Yeah unfortunately it’s just a FB group. I only joined FB to get access to the group, now Zuck is selling my data to advertisers keen to monetise my interest in broken kit guitar pedals
