Got overtaken this morning by a fully kitted roadie who then slowed in front of me so I re-overtook.

He pulled alongside me before peeling off at a junction and yelled "Not fair, you have gears!" on his own, geared bike. I don't think he liked being overtaken by a girl wearing a pretty dress.

Italian sizes are always a few too small anyway, so definitely too small for my size 9s! They're beautiful though O_O

Tiger, the Danish Ikea Lite place has some pretty okay looking bike stuff at the moment. Picked up a phone holder for when I'm likely to get lost and it seems pretty good. There's also a relatively solid looking D lock and one of those patterned wheel LED strip things.

I'm doing Dunwich Dynamo this year. I was expecting mostly casual riding rather than tool city. What's the best bet to avoid the latter specimens?

On the passing front, I just go with a bell way behind, a bell before I past rather than doppler-effect distorted 'on yer- mrafflerqffle!' Am I the only person left with a bell now?

On coach back now and yup, no issues. Was pissing it down from SW16 to Newbury Park though!

I'm doing Ipswich --> London in a few hours. Last time I did it, on the way back, I was fine going from Newbury Park to Ingatestone on the coach. Just had to take the front wheel off and put it in last. I think my disgruntled look at having to ride from Liverpool St to Newbury Park may have sealed the deal somewhat.

I think currently it's train up to Ingatestone -> bus to Newbury Park -> Underground/you're own your own from there to Liverpool St.

Has anyone tried one of the cheapy Quella Saddles? They look a lot like the cheapy ones Tokyo Fixed/Kinoko used to do, which I found supercomfy though mine's wearing pretty badly these days. I suspect they're the same thing, any ideas?

Half*rds own Citrus Degreaser. Fingers crossed it's not too damaging!

Random question - does degreaser not play well with plastic? I may or may not have just sprayed some degreaser on my rear cassette in the bathtub to keep my kitchen clean, and it would appear there is some kinda burn mark on the bottom of the tub now.

Is that the degreaser's doing?! Or was it likely there already and has just been highlighted by being filled with dirt?
