I love how you've wedged almost every possible metre of vertical ascent within a four-mile radius into the route (though I'd be tempted to throw Benson Road into the mix before Canonbie), but my legs/lungs don't quite love it yet.
I think we rode every slope in South London while refining the route, including a number of footpaths, council estates, private roads and on at least one occasion, stairs.

I must have been lucky with traffic on the way to the sea and thought the route was pretty interesting - someone had obviously spent a lot of time finding ways to string the least-bad roads together. Might have benefited from a 6am start.
I did see @Ruserius on the Isle of Grain but I was going the other way tucked in behind a wall of club riders hiding from the headwind.

I use the railton LTN a lot and have responded.
The nearby Oval ltn is also being consulted on - http://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/OSConsult
This one is important for people who use Q5, from Oval to Clapham.

That Isla bike is lovely.
We've had a wide variety of kid cycle gear, how well it works seems to depend on the kid.
- Burleigh trailer - kid hated it
- Hamax siesta - loved but destroyed two back wheels, 36 spokes recommended
- Wehoo trailer - well loved, especially by a kid that hated sitting still
- Follow me - best invention ever, 10/10
- Wild bikes - better than Frog, cheaper than Isla
We aren't quite into Audax territory yet, but don't think it is that far away.
