Glider Tupelo Steel Frame - Built by Serotta based on their Colorado
In need of refurb.
These were built by Serotta for Cyclefit somewhere between 2005-08.
Steel. Possibly Colorado Concept tubeset.
Feels pretty light for steel.
Details are ace. Serotta CNC detail on brake bridge. Nice dropouts. Chain pip.**PLEASE READ: I took a punt on this frame secondhand a number of years ago but unfortunately the seatpost was stuck. I tried to corrode it out using caustic soda but ran out of time - had to move flat - and there's still the stump stuck in there. Lots of paint chips. Some corrosion where some of paint has chipped. Tiny ding on one tube. Since then it's lived in a few dry cellars while I've procrastinated about fixing it up.
So it needs a complete refurb; The seatpost removing, headset cups are proper knackered and deffo need removing, refinishing, painting, chasing, facing etc etc. **TT: 570mm cc
HT: 213mm measure end to end.
ST: Approx. 600mm Centre of BB to around top of tube.Really not sure what this is worth. Refurbished it could be a fantastic frame. I think originally through the years it would have cost £695-£995. I'm moving flat and need to get rid of it. Don't want to take the piss so educate me if this is way off. You're welcome to come and view.
£70 ono

We're moving flat and I can't really justify keeping this, especially after the looks of disbelief when the secret cellar stash was discovered.
Enigma Esprit 57cm Titanium Frame
Enve 2.0 Forks - 45mm Rake
Rotor BB (BSA to 30mm axle) - Might have a Hope SRAM BB too.
Chris King Sotto Voce Headset, Black
Salsa Seat Clamp - Black
Thomson Masterpiece laybackBought towards the start of 2013 and retired Jan 2016.
It was well looked after but after using Park anti seize and not copper slip the seatpost got stuck in the frame. I spoke to Enigma and Nerve/Reilly on the south coast and they thought the post could be removed and the frame refinished - should look as good as new - merits of Ti I guess. Estimate approx £300. If the saddle height suited you then perhaps you wouldn't need to get sorted though.
- Stock geometry with horizontal top tube. I've attached the frame drawing - ignore the curved seat stays - this frameset is the newer model with pencil thin straight ones.
- There are some scratches and cable rub but no dents. Some marks on seatpost and forks.
- The very small black marks on the frame is tar or something like that flicked up from the road. Can clean off.
- I don't have a tool to check derailleur hander alignment I'm afraid. It's a replaceable part and available through Enigma.
- Pretty light setup.
- I really enjoyed this bike and only switched to something a little more aggressive with discs as my riding habits changed.
Really not sure what a fair price would be. The RRP for the frame is £1695 and forks £360.
Let's start at £800May also consider PX/Swaps for silly carbon disc brake wheels or Wahoo KICKR trainer type things.

Called me a fucking something or other before jumping the lights. Perhaps he was expecting a Madison style hand-sling through?
@Skülly - Evil and hilarious. Might save that for some Friday fun.

Thanks @branwen
Fitted a Shimano adapter to the front last night and picked up another for the rear this morning. Didn't explode on the test commute but will have to even the wear on the pads before being able to tell if they're biting more of the disc. Hilly ride tomorrow should get that started.

@svendhöek
Thanks for feedback. Think I can pick up a suitable Shimano adaptor on the way home, the first style with only two bolts.@branwen
F & R on mine too.Shall fit report back.

Thought so!
They're not Shimano adapters, couldn't even get a matching pair - 1x Tektro + 1x ?. A Shimano 140 to 160mm was impossible to come by at the time. Will take another look but quick Google wasn't too promising though.QRs were thieved from the MTB as a quick fix. Ashamed how long I've spent procrastinating between Shimano Ultegra/DA or DT Swiss RWS!
@Emyr I'm pretty sure they're natively 140mm on the CAAD10 Disc.
Thanks for taking a look. Going to resolve this and the new creaking sound... QR interface, chainring bolts, cassette, seatpost clamp/cradle... BB

Should my RS785 calipers be biting more of the disc than in the image?
@branwen
A while back you mentioned switching around your RS785 disc adapters to better align the calipers. Was your issue similar?

Some personnal experience.
My DT Swiss 240s seem more impervious to the elements than the Hope hubs they replaced. Within a similar time period the Hope's needed a number of new bearings where as the DT Swiss are still rolling smoothly.
DT Swiss 240s, 28/28, Sapim D-Light spokes, DT Swiss 460DB rims. Solid and stiff wheels. Very smooth and no sign of bearing wear. I got the 240s hubs in an eBay bargain. Wouldn't pay RRP.
The Hope free hub noise clears crowds of zombie pedestrians loitering in the road. DT Swiss is pleasantly quiet.
