Normal topcap works fine on the stem (I had used a couple different ones with it).
In terms of the spacer, should sit nicely flush in the recessed bottom of the stem - Welcome to view the stem :) -

Long story short, built up a new race bike for this season, turns out the frame was faulty which was discovered before it was ridden - Everything in the pic is available bar the frameset!

Hey all. Picked this up a couple of years ago with the aim of building up a classic commuter, however it went straight into the basement and never happened. Now having a clear-out so it's up for grabs.
The condition looks good, lovely deep blue paint - could do with a proper clean/polish. Few marks & scratches but no dents. I have noticed there is a bolt sheared off on the seatstay bridge mudgaurd mount (see pic) - this could easily be drilled and tapped if you want to run 'guards!
