Has anyone got a chainring spare that they'd sell (5 bolt, BCD 94mm) please? All about £30 on eBay/ chain reaction and the choice is very limited. This is £11 but mehhh http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DMR-Saturn-Ring-1x-Chainring-4-bolt-104BCD-or-5-bolt-94BCD-Retro-MTB-NEW-/263147064049?var=&hash=item3d44c98af1:m:muYLL1vMKRq0B_smbK2kuJw

Moving slowly but moving: Cleaned up the rear derailleur but currently waiting on new jockey wheels arriving. Chain on the way. New brakes have arrived, new cranks (Shimano STX 175mm) and some cool SPD/flat pedals thanks to a chap on here. Just need cables and a chainring now for it to be 'finished' but if it is getting used it may get some treats down the line.

Cheaped out on some V brakes on ebay for like £12... Got some nice SPD/flat pedals off here thanks to @walkmanman. Chain, jockey wheels, crankset needed then I can have it all together. Once it's being ridden, V brakes may be upgraded, the bottom bracket will be replaced and a few other bits.

Been super busy but managed to get the wheels moving on this project. (semi-intentional pun). Never really serviced a hub wheel before but took everything apart, cleaned it, kept the order that it came out in and put it all back together with liberal amounts of grease. Also cleaned the cassette and decided not to buy a new one. Annoyingly on the rear, it doesn't sit right in the drop out even though the spacing looks pretty even and I took some paint of the dropouts forcing it in.

Hello,
my best friend's bro is moving to Bristol to do an engineering apprenticeship with the MOD. He wants a fixed/SS bike to take to ride to work. He is aware Bristol is hilly.
Vague Criteria
60CM ish - he's 6ft3. Can play about with stem lengths.
Good value - not necessarily cheap but yeah.
Brakes
Not a shedNice to have:
mudguard eyelets/ mudguards
bottle cage
clearance for 28-32c tyres
rack capabilities - as versatile a bike as possible to enable touring would be great. Space constrainssome modern stuff would be good, like a crosscheck/ steamroller/ mashwork / pompino. Happy to do a build on a classic steel frame too, doesn't even need to have track dropouts. Steel is real. Image of the argos is from here for attention.
What have you got? Can collect from Islington when I next visit my sister or postage cool please.
