I've always used Shimano Dual Pivot brakes and only ever found them too powerful if anything.
Sadly my new frame means I've switched to direct mount and they only feel half as sharp (maybe less)
Is this an expected drawback of direct mount brakes or a sign of a problem with them or my setup?Specifically im using Bontrager Speed Stop Elites with Sram red Etap levers.
My wheels are Aluminium rims
I have tried changing the pads & loosening the power screw to max.
Increasing the reach of my levers.
I also run a spacer on the pads.
All have resulted in marginal gains but no significant differenceDoes anyone know the order I should setup the cable tension, power screw, and centring screw for maximum braking power?
