I was after a similar watch for a similar budget and ended up buying a cheap and pretty well-worn 8260, which makes a great beater. I guess a bit like a g10 but with better water resistance.

Funnily enough I’ve had something like that this week. Had one day where I probably should have just rested up but didn’t, then a day where I didn’t really have much choice but to rest up, then a day where I thought I was going to need to rest up, but was miraculously loads better at lunchtime. Even took the dog for a much needed (by both of us) walk this morning!

Annoyingly my wife was away for work this week, so I’ve basically used up any and all my goodwill with other parents, getting my kids in to school. Many favours owed!

Currently about 2/3 through Ammonite by Nicola Griffith. Some of the best sci fi I’ve read recently. The world building is vivid and poetic, without dwelling overly on the details. Would recommend and will be seeking out further stuff from her.

Missed your csb (or did you edit?) - that is pretty cool. I don’t know Mitch, but I imagine he and Joe are aware of each other. Joe is much more scene-integrated than I am! :-D

I dont have anywhere to keep mine set up. I use one of my 1200s as my record player and I keep the other and my mixer (vestax PCV275) in flight cases.

Hence the reason I've still not managed to get round to getting any mixes recorded ever :-/
