I have a 23" (BB centre to top of seat lug) Roberts track bike. Black, drilled chrome forks, chrome rear 1/4 of stays. Cinema bars and stem, L/F Record sprints, Record or Sugino 165's, NO dents. Built for me in 1976; I have the receipt.

I am 5'10", and 33' leg. I think the current stem is 125 or 135mm. The proportions are pretty standard for a 23" seat tube.

It was built for sprints and tubs, but 700c does fit. I have ridden club events, and mucky early season opens, on 700c's and Veloflex Record covers.

More recently, to use try-bars, I moved to a tiny Rondinella; originally built as a ladies touring frame, the proportions were perfect:

Apparently not Ecobeard! I have had no interested response whatsoever!

I want to retain the bikes in regular use, and sell the rest.

The Roberts is simply a top quality '70's track bike. Too tall for me with tri-bars so its got to go!

Roberts Track Bike No 570, built for me in 1976.
Black, Chrome forks and rear ¼. Forks drilled for Weinmann 500 brake.
Has been used at Hearn Hill, Harlow, Calshot and Welwyn, but most of its use has been time trialling on the road.
    Campag Record headset and seatpin
    Cinelli bars and stem.
Sugino 165mm cranks 144mm PCD (an exact and good quality Campag copy). Alternatively Campag 144mm PCD 165mm cranks can be substituted (or151mm PCD x 177.5mm ). Choice of Campag/other rings.
Wide choice of Campag Record Pista wheels.
    £650 collected.

The seat tube is 23” when measured from centre of BB to top of seat lug. The top tube is 22” centre to centre, and the minimum wheelbase is 38”.

It is now 39 years old in its original paint and chrome. There is chipping to the “Roberts” transfers on the down tube from regular use of a TACX maintenance stand, but all is in pretty good order. It has never been damaged or abused, and there are no dents whatsoever.
