The rear width between the dropouts is 126mm. As for whether it fits an 8speed, I think the answer is "probably" - according to the gospel of sheldon brown.
HOWEVER, I haven't tried it, and won't try and tell you that it will for sure. Some one else here may be able to advise. My feeling is that it should be fine though with some gentle persuasion (for whatever that is worth).
As for the seatpost, I think i forgot to mention that it comes with the one in the picture, but if you want to add your own still, just let me know and i'll take it down to the bike shop and throw a set of callipers across them, as I don't know the exact size at the moment.

Brought this as a build bike when I first started cycling around and started enjoying it as a hobby. So i've since gone and got myself something more appropriately sized, and as a result have nice frame for sale.
The top of seat clamp to centre of bottom bracket measurement is 64cm, and the top tube 58cm long.
Comes with headset, bottom bracket bearings, seat-post and bonus official Raleigh saddle. Oh yeah, it's Reynolds 501 tubing.
I was running a 7speed shimano RX-100 setup on it with 700c wheels. If anyone wants any more measurements or photos, please feel free to ask.
Preferably for pickup, am central in London but can investigate shipping (or meeting somewhere reasonable) if someone's keen. Make me an offer!
Sorry mate, have decided to keep it.
