thanks a lot @user55047! Couchsurfing.com is good but we thought it would be nice to meet a fellow bicycle enthousiast.

I've always ridden 51/17 simply because that was what I had and have never had any trouble emergenc braking anywhere. Moved to 48/17 for the last 3 months and don't regret it but on the long straight roads I just have a slower cruising speed.

    Hello!
My friend and I will cycle to London this summer on our track bikes but because London is expensive we are searching for a place to stay. We're two 18 year old guy's from the Netherlands. We share a passion for everything bike related and love exploring new places and countries. We would also like to meet some locals who would like to take us for a spin around town and to some pubs or clubs. We can take anything you want from the Netherlands(as long as it will fit inside a 40 liter bag) and in exchange for a place to sleep we will keep you free from any cost the weekend we will be there. We're planning to start our journey in the first weeks of august. Starting from Eindhoven, we'll ride along the coast of belgium to calais, take the ferry to Dover and then to London in about 3 days. Any tips or recomendations regarding places to go/things to visit are more than welcome and if you live on this route or in London We'd love to hear from you.

    cheers!

I've got a pair of sram s100 165mm cranks in slightly used condition (small scuff marks where your shoe touches the arms) threads are all in good condition. It's currently fitted with an unused blb freestyle chainring (48t) and new chainring bolts(the ones with alan key front and rear) you can have it for £45 but I live in the Netherlands so will have to ship. Hope I can help you!

Wouldn't try it with shims. Buy a bb with a longer axle or file down the edges on the inside of the cranks. I've also seen people denting their chainstays with pliers but I wouldn't recommend that.

I would definitely want one and know a few guys who would like some too I think.

Not looking at the brands themselves, low priced things from high end brands will be more likely to be of good quality than a product from a cheap brand in the same price range. Of course this has to do with a lot more factors but I think it will go up for your question also.

I understand the way half links will stretch easier but snapping is just something I don't want chains to do when I am riding. Also can anyone explain to me why I see so much BMX bikes with halflinks?
