Hi all. I have a new old 10 speed Campagnolo Chorus cassette that clicks on tightening. I thought the torque was 50nm on campagnolo. Tightening to 7 clicks seems very easy. Going on a Carbon-Ti hub. Any thoughts? Thank you.

The bike is practically new (despite being 17 years old); it still has the original chain in good condition. Wheels are Ambrosio Excellence with Campagnolo Record hubs in brand new condition and I want to preserve them; spread the work load to a second set of wheels.
Choices are limited and I’d like to try a slightly wider rim, 22mm external would be good.
Main thing is a good feeling ride and the Campagnolo’s fit the bill. And DT Swiss on a C40? Everything seems to require a compromise.

Handbuilt DT Swiss RR411 with lightweight hubs like Carbon Ti or Campag Shamal Ultra C17?
It’s for a colnago C40 HP B-stay so presumably the Campag, but those big alluminium spokes put me off. Haven’t actually seen a pair; do they look that bad?

Thanks guys. Didn’t think you could still get them threadless for carbon steerer. I’ve been searching for 1 inch threadless headset for ages and nothing much has shown up.

Apparently these are still available from Winstanleysbikes.
1) Can any bike shop fit these or does it need the special CK tool?
2) Ridiculously expensive. Any better offering for a nice old Colnago C40?
