Ah,I see. Have you had any experience with the Dajla bars? I see that they don't have any cable grooves though. And are those HWY1 bars in the picture of my original post?

I am currently in the process of finishing up a classic steel frame with STI's and I'm searching for some polished silver compact drop bars with cable grooves in 25.4 or 26. Current contender are some HW1's, but I have a feeling that there are even better choices. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Something like the picture below would be perfect. -

I'm sorry that I'm not answering your question, but what free hub body are you running? I cannot seem to find 8 speed free hub bodies anywhere.

I am currently in the process of building up a road bike and I've run into a bit of an issue. I have a set of Mavic Ksyrium Elites (don't know the exact year, how can I check?) and I've dialled in on an 8 speed Campagnolo Athena groupset. After some time spent searching ebay, I couldn't find a mavic 8 speed freehub body. Does such a thing actually exist? Can I make do with a 9 speed freehub body? Or maybe there is some other workaround?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Are these still available?
I was considering these for a while but their cost+ shipping is just a bit too much for me. I am now setting my eyes on bontrager ssr or procraft road pro bars,which would require some serious sanding in order to get them shiny or at least satin. I can't seem to find a decent picture of the HW1's, on some bikes the drops look nice and parallel to the ground,on others they seem to be pointing down. The nittos are pretty much perfect in shape and form but are there any cheaper alternatives that could be recommended?
