Those look to be from the Victory/Triomphe groupset for which the original holders/pads have disappeared. Is there something mechanically not right with them ? Why not replace the pads with Koolstops - they will improve considerably. http://www.koolstop.com/english/super_record.html

Perhaps 57cc is not the size for you but I have a Koga Miyata Randonneur dating from 1986 in good order. I'll be at the Ripley jumble on Sat 16th. to sell. You'll find the spec here http://www.koga.com/en/service/brochures/older-(2000-1976).htm

Has anyone tried these ? http://practicalcycles.com/products/233331--dia-compe-ene-aluminium-700c-mudguard-set.aspx they appear to be the same as these -- variously measured as 35mm or 40mm-- http://www.sjscycles.co.uk/dia-compe-ene-mudguard-set-700c-40mm-prod32086/ -- Dia Compe's own website didn't really give any clues as to whether they came in different sizes or the difference was internal/external measurements.
I crossed the main road the other day coming from Heyshot heading to Bepton and the little shop there that seemed to have been inactive for a while was up and running with a couple of people outside at a table with tea. Is Hill Barn the one referred to earlier -right on the SDW with a sign for ice-cream and a shepherd's hut.
