Hi, this is @HHHH signed in using another account, as I am out of town and have forgotten the password to the OP account.
Yes the Alfine hub + bits are still available. It is laced to a 700c Gipiemme welded rim with sapim spokes, so can be sold as complete wheel too.

the organiser should just partner up with local McDonalds to provide faster, cheaper, bigger and more tasty food next time - agreed a fellow rider from Texas.

Isn't the fuse there to protect the motor...
I don't suppose a burnt motor can be easily fixed by an amateur then, even if the multimeter from Bay arrives soon-ish?

So I have got this Ready Steady Cook Jug Blender (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Ready-Steady-Cook-YD-268F-Blender/dp/B00DMUACH6) from Argos about a year ago, mostly using it for frappe and making soya milk.
Some a couple of months ago I admittedly put too much soy bean (with water) in, it struggled to a stall. It smelled like overheated motor. I turned it off and left it for a few hours and started again. It stalled again, this time never to recover.
I am reluctant to write it off and get a new one, surely it's just a burnt fuse or something? But upon dissembling, I could not even locate a fuse if there's one. Can any one help? Any input will be much appreciated.
