Maybe, perhaps they just look good in photos, and that house was destined to be photographed a lot. They are a sort of 'homeliness/comfort' signifier, maybe it offsets the exposed concrete and sharp edges, at least the house generally looks like someone lives there rather than the high end staged TMH aesthetic ("please remove televisions for the photographs").

Just pulled the old 1st gen iPad Air out and it turns out it is now so old I can't get Iplayer to work on it, I have one of those keyboards that attaches so something newer that works with that is ideal, not bothered what colour or if its scruffy as long as the battery life and screen are OK.
