I bought one. It's cheap alright, but as a beater to get around the neighbour it's fine. I've already ditched the bars, stem, saddle and pedals as these are too personal a choice to get the position right.
I rode it on light trails whilst with my daughter on her MTB and it was great fun. Would make a fun Cyclocross bike.
I have 2 other rides, a full carbon roadie and full sus MTB, so a cheap fixie is great for hacking about town. Afterall, the fixie was born to be cheap, simple and therefore reliable. Bin the the brakes and gears and you haven't got much left to go wrong. (standard BB's are always crap, but rock solid replacements are <£20)
