The whole situation is very complicated for sure. She didn't become a terrorist's wife by accident after all. She apparently holds some pretty horrible views and has clearly made some awful decisions, not least of all trying to raise two children in a war zone. How much blame you can attribute to her versus the many people who have been influencing her I don't know.

I can't say I'd be happy to see her at the school gate, but I'm not sure it could be considered justice to ban her from the UK either.

^ Terrorist supporter might be more accurate. I don't think she's actually killed anyone has she?

I first read it as "death-penguin".

Not sure what Musk's (probably mental) views are, but isn't the generally accepted Doomsday scenario less Skynet and more "kill everyone to make paperclips". It's precisely shoddy programming that most people are scared of. Basically some system doing a HAL on a global scale.

Yeah, when I saw the ad I thought "Well, yeah but did it really need saying?". Then I saw the backlash and realised there are still plenty of men out there who feel their "masculinity" gives them free licence to be a massive dick.

^^ Just reminded me. Barn-dwellers who go for a piss in the stall but don't lock the door behind them. So you push the door open expecting an empty stall but instead blunder into the back of a urinating man.

I roadsafed a driver entering an ASL, just to see whether it's worth it.
The responder said even though it shows the violation they would not pursue it as the chance of prosecution was so low.

Is this because you can't see that the light is red in the video, or do you think the response just code for "we can't be bothered"?

So much this. I've also had baked potatoes served in a similar fashion. Completely pointless.

They're not actually on speaker on these calls are they? I thought they recorded the inbound-line and gave the press a tape.

Yeah, I finessed mine "flat" with mole grips and a hammer. Did end up a bit like that Father Ted scene where he tries to hammer a dent out of a car.
