The clearances on that trolley are a bit weak, and the geometry just looks all wrong.

Do you need front and rear peds to be legal?

I believe the onus is on the person pulling out/turning to make sure the road is clear before moving. Not that that is easily possible in queueing traffic, so many just chance it.
Strictly not your fault, but common sense says filtering past queueing traffic should be treated like going past parked vehicles on a narrow road (do it slowly and carefully).

I'm tempted to try one of these (QBicle Tangent mudguard). Anyone had any experience with them?

    COLOURS!
Looking at even casual cycle clothes in bike shops is maddening as most of it is black/brown or at best a dull blue.

Strange driver baffled me this morning. Sitting in stationary traffic on a quiet road, they suddenly pull out and come up halfway alongside me. Cue a minute of wondering whether they want to turn into the tiny side street I'm next to (I know, bad form), but they're not indicating or making any other sign.

Traffic finally moves and they sit stationary for ages after I cycle off. People are strange sometimes.

I only know the sections from London Bridge to Tower Hill well, and they are all a massive improvement in my view. Filtering through traffic (with a lot of HGVs) going west on Short Street/Tower Hill/Lower Thames every morning is pretty stressful, and definitely the kind of thing that makes people afraid of cycling in London.
CS3 will be a great commuting route, pity CS2 will still suck.
