Cool, I'm up for a cyclo session some time. Who do you know?

Tom Milham and Sam Cunningham and a few others. Know em?

I'm from Gravesend. There's a number of different parks and we've been digging all winter, plus our street isn't too bad and it's a short train ride to London.

I know a few people from that way, I'm heading down there soon to ride some street and hit cyclo park. I'll hit you up!

^^It's called a freecoaster. There's a clutch mechanism (as visible in B0N0Rs pictures) inside the hub and when you stop pedalling it automatically disengages to allow the wheel to spin freely in both directions.

Hey man, fellow bmx rider here! Where abouts do you ride man??

And that brake cable looks like it might be too short.

But I agree with you. If its an appropriate place to wear flip-flops then just go bare foot. If you can't / don't want to go bare foot then put some shoes, trainers or boots on. They are pointless. Ugly. Uncomfortable. And they are actually borderline evil, the way they make you think that that your wearing something to protect your feet when your not. The only thing that can possibly said for flip-flops is that they are not sandals.

Saying that sandals are fine if you are a woman. Is that sexist?

Nah, the cables fine.. its not stretching or tight.. probably only just long enough.

i prefer to ride in crocs.

I've got BMX pedals and straps on my brooklyn and I recommend it, you'll have much more control over your bike with straps, once you get used to getting your feet in and out of them.

can you point me in the right direction for some decent straps?

I saw a guy on Shakespeare Road today with a brakeless Langster wearing flip-flops on flat pedals.

Didn't get a photo, but this is the right place to mention it, while we're on the subject.

i don't see how people can walk in flip flops let alone ride in them

haha not the start i was hoping for!

I've been on other forums so i know exactly what they can be like!

its a Focale44 complete and I've put a couple of bits on it since i bought it. i just use it commuting to work and to the pub!

I've never used straps, I BMX so using bmx pedals and no retention just felt natural. maybe i will get straps and try it out!
