Thanks, that’s what other websites seem to suggest as well. Did your mate have any issues with damp after installation? Some suggest this could be an issue but we have quite a deep crawl space so hope it won’t be an issue for us

Related to the insulation discussion above, has anyone got experience with insulating suspended timber floors? We are looking into replacing the floorboards in our draughty 30s house so would be an ideal time to put down some insulation.

Depends on the bank. Eg. Barclays has a £50k limit for single transfers online, you can do up to £100k in any 24h period. On the phone or via app it is usually less. I would call up and ask your bank, it’s worth flagging it to them in any case as even smaller transfers could be temporarily held due to money laundering etc which can then simply be waved through

In Europe it’s pretty common to have one of those ramps in apartment buildings where bikes are stored in the communal basement.
See a variable length ramp here from a German site: https://ukib.de/Variabel-einstellbare-Fahrradrampe-E-Bike-Treppenrampe-von-60-365-cm-Laenge

Thank you @stevo_com @rogan @Howard, makes sense looking at it from that perspective

If they do accept, can anyone recommend a good surveyor in Forest Hill area?

Decided to take the plunge into home ownership. We have put in an offer for a place in Forest Hill. Can anyone recommend a decent surveyor in the area?
Also perhaps a noob question but the EA has asked for an AIP to qualify our offer. While we have an AIP, it is for an amount almost as high as our offer so the other side can easily see that we could go higher. Should I just get a new AIP or is it worth showing that you some room to go higher (we went in a bit less than 5% below asking so expect to be told to go higher)?

I have the SKS edge AL 46 on my Cross Check and quite like them, easy to install too. They are perhaps a bit shorter than some other mudguards at the rear (fine for commuting, though I have installed RAW mud flaps for extra coverage). I think 40mm tyres are probably the largest you can mount with these mudguards (I’m using 40 G-One)

I have a Sinn 6052 whose day function is moving at 2x the normal speed (ie. during the night it goes from Monday to Wednesday). From what I observed the process sets in motion at roughly midnight (as it has always done) but will continue changing the day until c. 8am (usually a 1day change is complete by c. 3am).
I fear I might have caused this when I absentmindedly set the watch during the night ...
How much £ would I be looking at to get this repaired and could you recommend anyone in London? Thanks!
