Sorry to post in this existing thread - but im in the nursery :(
I have recently purchased a Look 464 on closeout and was wondering whether the frame is drilled for a brake. There does seem to be a hole there but it is very small. I'm reluctant to drill as it's an aluminium frame but wondered whether the brake bridge is steel and therefore safe to drill, and if not, then why did they put 3 holes there from the factory if no brakes were supposed to be used?
My fork hasn't got a drill hole, so if I'm not supposed to drill, I guess I will have to get a rear clamp brake.
Iv'e attached pictures of the mysterious holes on the brake bridge.
Just a quick google found this picture:
which looks the proper size for a brake nut. I wonder why Look didn't drill it all the way through in my model. I would imagine the stiffness would be comparable between the track specific and road versions?
