To be fair it's unfiltered tap water... But I can make a decent-tasting 1 cup v60 using the same water so that can't be the only culprit

On the subject of filter, I'm struggling to get a nice cup of coffee from the clever dripper using Hoffmanns recipe. Generally, I find them lacking in flavour & maybe a bit hollow. I've tried grinding finer but it's not made much difference.
Anyone got a recipe they'd recommend?

Agree—I haven't seen any photos that made me want to try the food. There are plenty of places serving decent St. John-adjacent food which you don't require you to take a half-day off work to be able to eat there.

Middle section of HAY mags in pretty decent condition - removed from our sofa as it's too big to fit in the living room. These make really nice single seats in kitchens/ small corners of rooms etc. It's a really nice creamy light off-white colour, fabric is Linara, let me know & I can find the proper name if you're interested.
£250, collected from SE6. There's a couple of small marks which are pictured - let me know any questions.

I've had good luck with the cotton twill stuff from Universal Works. There's a little fading but no tearing & have generally stood up well to 2/3 years of wear with a few pairs on rotation.
A bit pricey at full whack but they often come up on eBay with a decent saving.
