hi there i am really interested in your bike is there any chance i can have your number to have a chat
I can't PM you until you're out of the nursery, don't want to post my number here for all to see. Make another couple of posts and I can get in contact.
I've noted all the dibs on parts, but I'd much prefer to sell the bike as a whole, so I'll wait a bit before seeing if I should split it.

Certain coins are worth more than others depending on their design and rarity. Also certain mints seem to attract higher prices (this is also true of bullion). The real trouble with buying silver in the UK is you have to pay VAT, which instantly reduces any investment by 20%. So you have to buy things because you like them aesthetically, or as a very very long term investment.

I won this bike in a competition a few months ago, but haven't done anything with it since then (I was in the middle of my finals when it arrived). Unfortunately I'm going to have to sell it because I am just too tall and heavy to ride such a bike. It has never been ridden (or even fully assembled). All I've done with it is take it out of the box. It's been stored indoors since it arrived. It's thus in essentially brand new condition, although in the interests of full disclosure, the handlebar tape is a little scuffed (it arrived that way).
The full specs are:
- BLB lo-pro (Cro-Mo steel) frame – for an extra aggressive riding position, ensuring speed and control in an urban environment
- Limited edition white Notorious 03 carbon tri-spoke front wheel
- Flip-flop rear wheel (42mm H+Son deep section white alloy rim) – meaning this bike can be ridden as fixed wheel or free wheel
- BLB pursuit handlebars in bright silver
- Elegant polished silver BLB Lil Quill stem
- Perforated Micro Fibre white handle bar tape
- 46T BLB Pista Vera track crank set in bright silver (165mm arms)
- 17T BLB fixed sprocket
- 17T free wheel sprocket
- BLB Fly X white saddle
- BLB seatpost in silver (27.2mm diameter)
- Supplied with front and rear brakes to accommodate fixed wheel or free wheel riding
- Wheel size: 700c
- Tyre width: 700x23c
The RRP for this bike was £1290, although it is now only sold without the tri-spoke wheel for £999. The front wheel is available at BLB for £495 ex-display.
Bike now sold. Collection in South West London, although I could possibly post it. Please note that the bike has never been fully assembled, so if you are planning to ride it home I can bring various tools for your convenience. Would make a good Christmas present for someone. Note that the H&M sticker is removable.
There are some pictures of the bike itself here (happy to take more/close-ups if requested):

As you can see it comes with a rear brake, front/rear/wheel reflector, bell, manual, piece of cardboard, 2 inch screw (don't ask me...).
Edit: Oops, forgot to mention I'll donate 5% of sale price to LFGSS.

Not really a collector myself, but I have been tempted by one (or three) of these: http://www.royalmint.com/shop/UK_2013_20_pound_for_20_pound_Fine_Silver_Coin_George_and_the_Dragon
simply because it's impossible to lose money on them and they look cool.
