  We had two bikes stolen from shed near Chatsworth Road E5. Took 52cm langster steel, res frame, chrome forks, red tyres, brand new chain and free wheel, awful replica leather bar tape. More upsettingly, tatty blue peugeot that we've had for yonks, that was the most reliable bike ever, bright blue bar tape, mavic kysyrium equipe front wheel, original rear wheel. The theiving sods also nicked the bike seat. Both bikes had seat clamps. Though not of any great financial value, we've been depirved off our transport and our son is upset this had happened. eager to know if these are spotted at brick lane or wherever.

  should have said police were hear within 40 minutes of it being reported and I have to say, helpful.

  Had two bikes stolen overnight in Homerton. be careful round here. we are not the first to be gotten at night. A van must have been involved (other stuff nicked, including child seat!) and intelligence is gathered from spotters who roam the streets by day. Ours was a reasonable high security shed. No forensics, so we to were advised to go to brick lane, check out ebay and gumtree.

  had a free wheel and chain replaced at a&s last week. Great value, genuinely friendly service, unpretentious. cyclists in e5 and e9 are lucky to have it.
