  Really? (again, genuine question... I use one half link on my track bike, to get a better compromise with my rear wheel position - if I bring it too close to the BB, the tyre hits the non drilled "brake" bridge because I use 23c instead of 20c... Am I going to die because of a potentially failing half link?)

  That's exactly the reason why I'm using one as well.
  All I can say is that it's working well, for 2 years now so far.

  Now that I have switched to tighter tires, I'm switching to regular chain but can be really helpful in some situations.

  hey,
  yes I should get rid of that chain as well, I got it because I used to have bigger tires and the rear one used to touch the frame when the wheel was fully inside the dropout.

  That chainset is an old shim 600; changing it is my next upgrade.

  And yes it's tapped!

  hi guys,

  I'm vivian from Paris, France, just passing by saying hello :)
  Been riding for two years now on a track bike and hope to keep doing that for a while!
  I'm a big fan of vintage bikes and love sneaking through the Internet to find some nice rare piece of gears, ,now looking for that old c'dale crit.
