Im currently using one of the peugeot gas pipe frames as my beater and want something a little lighter. Need something that i can just lump all my current parts onto, so silly French fitments are a must.
Preferably reynolds, but am open to anything that's lighter than what i've got at the moment (carbolite 103 - ironic naming!)
Size: 57cm or there abouts

Ah, Stronglight cranks, they do indeed have a non-standard thread so a normal square taper extractor doesn't fit - the only tool for them is made by J A Stein Company. I had to buy one ages ago which you'd be welcome to borrow but I'm abroad indefinitely.
Don't take this as a guarantee but I think this is the one you need:

Most helpful! I've dropped them an email to confirm, but ideally i'd like to borrow someone's for beer money, since I'm replacing the stronglight with a Shimano 600 crankset and probably won't need the tool again - will put a post out once i find out exactly what size is needed I guess

Sorry guys, my memory failed me there. It's actually the cranks that I was struggling with, not the BB. So here's a few snaps of them, hopefully someone has the correct extraction tool as i'm pretty stuck

My bottom bracket has been knackered for a long time and I'm looking to get my raleigh record ace back on the road. Only trouble is that none of my local bike shops have the right size tool, seems that they used an irregular size BB on these 80s record aces.
Does anyone have a tool that would fit? Sorry for lack of info - if anyone can give me any pointers on what i need to look for then I will report back with serial numbers etc
