This is an unusual and rare find, a Japanese bike from the '70s. I have renovated the bike including replacing brake and gear cables and tyres, which are new Panaracer Pasela PT with amber sidewalls (RRP £24.99 each). The bike appears to be mostly original apart from one brake lever and cable guide.

Main photo is bike before I started working on it. Later photos are current condition, unfortunately my photo skills aren't very good.

    Specs:
    T-000 De Luxe
20" centre BB to top of ST. 22" from centre ST to HT.
Brakes are Shimano Tourney cantilevers, brake levers are Shimano Del 50 and Weinmann Dia Compe.
Front mech is Shimano Thunderbird II, rear is Shimano Eagle GS
Dropouts are diagonal (treat as horizontal).
Bottom bracket and crankset details: Takagi caps on the cranks. BB cups labelled 'Tange Industries, caged bearings just serviced.
'Made in Japan' sticker on seat tube.
I have black and yellow bar ribbon to apply plus bar ends.
Front wheel bearings replaced & regreased.
Rear wheel freehub runs well. Has been recently trued by Pearson's in East Sheen (£15).

The bike is similar to the one pictured and described here:
    http://cyclethru.blogspot.co.uk/2012/12/tiger-cycle-super-model-deluxe.html

"The Tiger Cycle MFG. Super Model Deluxe 10 speed road bike is likely a bicycle from the Japanese import bicycle boom during the 1970's here in the United states. The bicycle is throughly Japanese. The wheels are steel araya 27x1-1/4, the brake set is centerpull Shimano Tourney with Shimano brake levers. Front derailleur is Shimano Thunderbird. Rear Derailleur is Shimano Skylark. Levers are also Shimano branded. It is not clear what brand the Crank is but there is a Japan mark on both Crank arms. The bicycle is in fairly good shape for it's age and rides extremely smooth. Bumps are comfortably absorbed by the steel tubing and the handling is fairly responsive as were many Japanese bicycles. It is by far a lightweight, but certainly lighter and of better quality than the Schwinn Varsity and Continentals of the time. The tires are Sekai branded (also Japanese) and appear to be of the period if not original. If they are then they've held up very well. I found the engraving on the handlebar amusing with the picture of the road champion cyclist and the 'Alps industrial company' writing. Perhaps the Japanese manufacturers were attempting to fit in with the big bicycle companies from Europe before taking pride in their own geography and history (ei. Mt. Fuji)."

Cash on collection preferred, or can deliver locally to SW London in the next few days. I may be able to post for a charge of £30-35, but would need time to obtain a box, etc. I have removed the pedals ready for transport. The bars are currently unwrapped so easier to inspect, although I will supply the bar ends and can wrap the bars if requested.

Selling as my n number means I never have chance to ride it & I need funds to buy components for my other bikes. Viewings welcome.

£120 ovno. (No derisory offers please.)

Sounds like it was someone on a bike, rather than an actual cyclist.

I can't think of any scenarios where a cyclist would run away and leave the bike rather than stick around and find out why the hell the bus was so close.

I'm new here, although some of you may have met me elsewhere.

    Beast, a Globe Vienna 2.

And Baby, a basic Spesh Dolce which is getting completely hammered by the mileage I'm doing.

Been looking for another road bike, something of a higher spec as bits of Baby keep breaking.

Also craving something a bit retro, but can't think of when I would have time to ride it.
